Expansion of marketing reach into South Korea

(London, UK; 9 January 2023) Drylab Media Tech (“Drylab”), a leading film and TV production SaaS platform, is pleased to announce the signing of a new sales distribution agreement in South Korea, one of the most active film and TV production hubs in East Asia, adding to the eight existing partnerships that Drylab already has, to expand its marketing reach into further geographic territories.

The distribution partner, who will be promoting and selling Drylab’s products in South Korea, in addition to Japan, is Shining Prince Japan (SPJ). Shining Prince has been providing sales, marketing & market entry consulting services to entertainment companies since 2004. SPJ founder and principal, Geoffrey Bossiere has 25+ years of experience in Asia, with a focus on Japan and East Asia. Since his time as head of 20th Century Fox Inc.’s Far East theatrical distribution operation, Geoffrey has been a key executive behind the successful market entry (new launch or re-launch) of companies like IMAX Cinemas, and Hulu, LLC.

The signing of this agreement forms part of Drylab’s growth strategy to develop long-term relationships with trusted channel partners that boast local expertise and networks, and a proven track record for delivery in their respective territories, to facilitate rapid international market penetration. South Korea is one of the most active media content producers and importers in East Asia. In 2019, the Korean film market was estimated to be $2.2 billion. It brings the total number of partnerships Drylab has globally to nine, and covering territories including Norway, Sweden, France, South Korea, Czech Republic, Japan, India, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, South Africa, Ethiopia, Kenya and Nigeria.

John Mahtani, CEO of Drylab Media Tech, said: “We are thrilled to have extended this partnership with Shining Prince. Shining Prince has been a trusted partner and have significant reach in the film and TV production industries in Japan and East Asia. We look forward to the opportunities that this expansion will bring for us and continuing to expand our partnership base.”

Geoffrey Bossiere, Founder of Shining Prince, said: “I am super-excited to be representing Drylab Media Tech now in Japan and South Korea. South Korea represents one of the world’s most vibrant film and televisions production communities. I believe that Drylab’s technology, products and services, represent a paradigm shift away from the way films are being made today to something far more dynamic and efficient.”
